About Dr. Shravan Shetty
Dr. Shravan Shetty is a Consultant Surgical Oncologist at the Asian Cancer Institute, Mumbai. He has been practicing for the last 5 years and has performed surgery for large number of cancer cases particularly head and neck cancer, breast cancer and gynaecological cancers. He has completed his MBBS from K.S.Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore and his Masters in General Surgery from M.R.Medical College, Gulbarga. He fulfilled his ambition of becoming a Surgical Oncologist by completing his MCh (Surgical Oncology) in 2013 from the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai .He continued to work at the Tata Memorial Hospital till 2014. He was running Belgaum Cancer Hospital, a 100 bedded cancer hospital at Belgaum, Karnataka independently to provide comprehensive cancer treatment to all patients in that region in 2014.. In 2015, he came back to his roots in Mumbai and joined the Asian Cancer Institute as a Consultant Surgical Oncologist. Asian Cancer Institute is one of the leading private cancer hospitals in the city. He has special interest in Head & neck and breast cancer. He has specially been trained in Robotic Head & Neck Surgery with the Da Vinci Si, Xi system at the Severance Robot & MIS centre, Yonsei Medical Centre, Seoul, South Korea. He was a visiting scholar at the Reconstructive Microsurgery Centre, Department of Plastic Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan. He has been invited as a faculty at various national conferences. He has been giving talks on cancer awareness, cancer detection and treatment at the various medical associations. His goals for the future include initiation of cancer screening programs in the community and to develop a system to provide affordable cancer care for the people.

He won the best oral presentation for his work on thyroid cancer at the UAE Cancer Congress 2013 held in Dubai.
He won the first prize during the 2nd Indian Cancer Congress conference held in November 2017 Bengaluru for his work on free microvascular flap reconstruction in salvage surgery for recurrent head & neck cancers.
